Swollen Eye!?!

i was just looking at him very closly and his left eye seems to be swollen, does anyone know any causes to this?
HERE IS HIS INFO
Cage Info:
Cage Type - retarium, 65 gallon(16.5''*28''*30'')
Lighting - repti glo 5.0, florecent light about 10 to 12 hours, and basking like 8
Temperature - Basking spot is in the low 90s high 80s, the rest of the cage varies from high 70s to mid 80s, and at night its down to the low 70s
Humidity - its usually at 60%, using a tree, misting, and a dripper
Plants - yes ficus
Location - its in my room it is out of traffic area but it is located close to a fan
Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - Veiled, male, and a little older than a month.
Feeding - 10 to 15 crickets. i just put all the crickets in 2 different cups in the morning. im using gutload from wild eye reptiles with some calicum supplement, sweet potatoes
Supplements - repical calium with d3, do it every morning everyday
Watering - i use a dripper and mist, when i mist i do see him drink some times
Fecal Description - i think its a black white color, little brown
History - hes new only had him for 3 or 4 weeks
Current Problem - napping during the day

Upload a pic if you can. There is a possibility he got some sap in his eye from the ficus if the branches were cut or leaves were torn off. The sap can be an irritant. After misting and during shed they can rub their eyes on plant material to clean them. Could this have been a possibility?

this is possible but i think he pay be sick he was sleeping yesterday afternoon and someone said thats a bad sign, the sweeling as gone down but his left eye is still closed. its actually normal in size, but its not really opened. should i take him to a vet?
ps my camera is broken and cant post pictures i wish i could tho so it would be easier

yeah the sleeping thing is very bad. any time a cham is sleeping with the lights on is a bad sign. the vet would definately be your best bet. my cham has the mucus in his eye butstill acts regular. eat right and sleeps when he suspose too. his eye never stays closed it is always open.

well i went to the vet today, hes got an infected eye. he also got treated for worms and some kind of intestant bug but i just have to put eye drops in his left eye twice a day for 7 days. the problem was that some extra skin on his forhead could have done somethin, and hasnt come off yet because his humidity is to low. so she told me to put some sponges in the cage near the heat lamp to increase the humdity. well ill keep everyone posted on how he comes out. i think hell be ok!

white spots & swollen eye.

sorry i'm new to this website and this is the only way i could figure out how to post anything. i'm just looking for answers.



my chameleon has a big white spot on her side, i have a friend who has a few chameleons and he told me it was "sunburn" from laying under the lamp too long? is that possible or should i be concerned with what i see? all tonight for the first time his left eye became swollen. it still seems like she can see out of it, but it looks swollen and crusty, like a humans when we have something in our eyes. she was also scratching it on the cage. should i be concerned and what should i do?

has your chameleon ever shed since you owned it? The white spot could be the beginning of a shed. Burns usually cause the skin to turn black. If the eye has a discharge that is crusting over, it is possibly some type of infection but posting a picture would help to maybe determine this and to also help identify the white spot.
