If your weather permits get him outside. This has worked clearing this up for me in the past.
He's opposed to leaving his cage, and basically everything that has to do with not being in his cage. I hope he out grows this, especially since being in Florida is nice if you're a chameleon. For now though, he would completely freak 😔

What supplements are you using? I believe some members have had problems with gular edema anecdotally related to Arcadia supplements and/or bee pollen.
No arcadia products. I've had him 4 months (he's 8 months) and I've done exactly as the breeder instructed

Supplements - Zoomed Calcium without D3 6 days a week, Zoomed calcium with D3 2x month, Reptivite without D3 2x month, Sticky Tounge miner-all outdoor formula (without D3) 2-3x week.

Why are you giving the miner-all along with the others? I’m not really familiar with Sticky Tongue supplements. Maybe @Beman would be a better help than I here.

The breeder sent me the supplement list and instructions, so I'm just going by what he said.
I rotate the calcium with D3 every other Sunday, and the reptivite without D3 the other Sundays (so twice a month for each).
The Sticky tongue miner all I generally use Monday, Wed, and Friday, using plain calcium Tuesday Thursday and Saturday.
Did that make sense, or was it confusing?

Did the breeder say use miner-all outdoor in place of the with d3 when getting outside time or season?

Sooooo breaking this down...

Supplements - Zoomed Calcium without D3 6 days a week (This is plain phos free calcium no D3), Zoomed calcium with D3 2x month (plain phos free calcium with D3), Reptivite without D3 2x month (multivitamin with preformed A NO D3 version), Sticky Tounge miner-all outdoor formula (without D3) 2-3x week.( and this is a calcium with magnesium NO D3 Version)

So basically the OP is using both the zoomed calcium without D3 and the minerall outdoor calcium/mag no D3 during the week and then rotating with the zoo med with D3 and the reptivite without D3 every week so that each are given only 2 times a month.

The only form of D3 is coming from the zoo med with D3 two times a month. No overdose risk with these or the rotation that is being suggested by the breeder. I see no reason for the supplementation to be a concern. I have see a few breeders rotate in the miner-all outdoor version. No different then Arcadia supplements offering the calcium MG supplement as 4th in their rotation. That one too is just calcium and magnesium really.

Im using miner-all indoor for my artificial d3 2 days a month and it has 50 minerals, magnesium like you said and calcium. I just presumed the sticky tongue farms outdoor was same but no d3

You followed and explained that better than I do, and it's my schedule 😂 👏

It is very similar in breakdown. just one with D3 and one without D3. :)

It was an area that frustrated me greatly when I was new. Everyone had their way and their version of right. The truth is with supplements there are many ways to achieve the same results. Helps me to know what they are so I can give people correct info on adding, removing, or replacing them.
Frustrating is one word for it!

Between supplements, feeders, and well, your generally husbandry, someone is going to tell you you've got something wrong 😓

Yep the first year it is like navigating a mind field of info... Everyone thinks their way is right and the only way. There is a grey area in this hobby it is not black and white.

Per your boy. That does not look like edema... Looks more like swelling from the tongue because it is sitting more forward then middle like edema will present. But I am not a vet... Just basing this off my personal experience with edema and what I have read on it.

That’s an awfully lot of supplements. That’s probably the problem but a vet visit is in order. I might be able to recommend a good chameleon vet in FL if you share your location. It would be a good time to do a fecal if he hadn’t had one already.

I think it's good tongue as well. I can see it move when he opens his mouth and swallows. It looks painful 😔
