Our male was shedding earlier this week and hiding from sight but I was able to snap this one when he came around for some food....

Enjoy!

Luis,

Thanks for posting photos so quickly-- I am glad they made it safely, minus the slight bruising from shipping, which will surely go away soon. Your established male continues to amaze me; he looks even better than before! Hopefully the females, with time, will accept his advances. More importantly, I'm glad the last of the group went to you considering you have two distinct bloodlines at the moment, so no pressure :) I am sure others will join eventually in pairing this captive-hatched group with new genetics so we can have a real chance for more blue gems in the future.

All the best,

Fabián

Thanks everyone.

Fabián, we're very excited to be working with T. deremensis again and I can't imagine starting off with better specimens. It was immediately apparent you've done an amazing job with them and I'm confident that they will be an integral part of this initiative. I'll certainly keep you updated. :)

Here is a recent full body shot of the male, pre-shed....

Thanks,

Wow Luis, his horns are twice as long as my guys'. What are you feeding him? rBGH loaded crickets?

He only gets a few food items every other day or so. Occasionally I'll let him go a couple of days if he hasn't defecated in an appropriate amount of time, but we don't supplement the food with anything other than good quality gut load.

Thanks,

Luis

Just to clarify, the large male is not from the clutch of CH animals, so give your male some time-- he will eventually grow its horns.

Luis, beautiful animal. I'm excited to see how they all respond in the future.

Cheers,

Fabián

Yeaaaah, that male is awesome. M001 wants to be like him when he gets older! Great photos, Luis.

Thanks everyone.

Steven, I will post some pictures of our senegalensis pair soon. The female is just about done with a round of antibiotics which she has really responded well to. The male has a Napoleon complex and tries to fight everything he sees, including mister heads, mister tubes, my hand etc...he's a riot!

Kent, I want to be like him when I get older! ;)

I love to see the pictures.

I bought some blue bitaeniatus baby's today and a new female from Benny from the regular form, I'll post some pictures later.

But 1 baby and the female are not 100% now. I let them rest first.
