for uv i use a 24" reptisun 5.0

Wow I don't know about a 160 watt for a Jackson's...it just seems like a bit too much heat. Also, I know T-Rex says UVA & B but every UVB bulb puts out UVA it is impossible to put out UVB without UVA. So, IMHO I would go with a standard UVB 5.0 as well as a 60 or 75 watt regular bulb for the heat.

I agree. I'm sure a big reason the jackson has not shown the dark colration, is because she is being kept too warm.

160watt t-rex bulb

So yo uthink my temps are too high. My jacksons is in a 48"X68" all large gap fiberglass screen cage. Tempratures vary from 74 to 69 degrees. I mist 3 times if not 5 a day. Humidity is at 85%. He seams fine, hes very active, never sleep in the day and stays green when held. The 160Watt bulb lights the cage very little. He basks in the morning, then bask on and off duting the day. He never gasps. I added a floresent 5.0 buld because the cage wasnt lit enough.

Now that i have told you guys, leelos set up you might understand why i use a 160watt bulb. I live in IL. His cage in in the basment. Dont worry I ahve central air. I moneter day and night temps closly, especialy in the winter. One cuzz I own 20 bonasi, that i keep wiht an HID full spectrum bulb in the basment. I also have the room to grow, watermellons, pepers, squash, and many other vegies in my basment. I dont grow hurbs, lol.
