Tail rot?

Hey! I have had my Arlo for about 3 weeks! He is a male Jackson and today when I got home from work I noticed some feces on the tail, and it easily rubbed off, and this is what his tail looks like. Could it be tail rot? Please help, I'm willing to do anything, my other theory is that it's the start of a shed, or just more feces. I know that the vet is my next destination, but I just don't want to be worried about something as simple as hies starting his shed and take him to the vet. Thanks

It does seem weird how it is kind of kinked, or going in a different direction sort of.
I noticed that too. I couldn't tell if there was a color difference, the close-ups were a little blurry. It is odd that it is bent like that. Maybe go see a vet if you suspect tail rot because that's something you want to nip in the bud.

Hey @ferretinmyshoes I heard that you know a lot about chameleons and was hoping you could help me with this issue. Yesterday found something dried and crusty on his tail, appeared to be feces, and I brushed it off, and the tip of his tail is white. (Same color as poop/dried skin) his last shed was about a week answered a half or two weeks ago. Please help if you can!
