Was at repticon in atlanta today and noticed this little veiled he was supposedly only 5 week old but unlike other juvenile veiled chameleons he wasn't green

This little guy was bred from a line of hi grey, teal stripped, and purple dot veiled chameleons. The breeder had no picture of the father but I bought the little guy anyways :D. I am on chameleon number 2 hopefully i'm not an addict

But has anyone heard of such a kind of veiled chameleon?

Either way hes got a lot of color for a 5 week old baby

Your little guy is very pretty but nothing out of the ordinary and sometimes I think the breeders say what they think people want to hear. Not any of our sponsors that are breeders, but some of these people that sell at the shows.. Never heard of a purple dot and am pretty sure they don't exist. Teal is a fairly common color in Veilds

Thanks guys im excited to see what colors they guy will show and maybe possibly breed him with my female kameal.

I paid a little extra for him only because all the other ones where just green.

There was a baby panther for $75 i almost pulled the trigger on

Looks like maybe a few month's old. Carol's comments could be any more true. Without any pictures of the sire to prove the color variant who knows what he'll turn out to be. Add that the seller couldn't tell you the proper age of him.

Enjoy the great looking cham you got. That's what most important.

I have a male veiled that looks like your Cham, with the same colours at rest. My guy Kane is pretty awesome when he's outside in the sun or has his 'Jammie's on - then he goes almost pure white with green stripes! I love my guys' uniqueness, he's awesome! Hopefully yours will grow up to have that same colouring!

thanks, Yea I'm very pick when it comes to buying a new cham, he was the best looking one with no signs of eye problems, dehydration, etc
