Tame? Please check this out, need help!

people here know I am a big advocate of handling, if your cham is ok with it and doesnt stress out. I happen to hold all my chams all the time, they all enjoy the time out of their cages. they go from me, to inside freerange, to outdoor sunning cages, to outdoor freerange.
Krash just hangs with me while I do chores, or walk to the local store.
So its up to you and your cham, its an indiviual cham thing

hahaha..sweet you walk around with your chams too..nice

they are sooo much better than a big old ugly iguana (i love them too, but) and iguana's are so cliche 80's lol

Hehe  Hope my veiled cham will be like that puppyish haha... I'd love that!
Ain't go a mister yet, should I like... Spray on the top cage so it becomes this rain effect and falls on her? Any ideas?
Any negative effects with shedding that should be known? :(

Btw sontigerpanth, seen any veiled chams like that?
Also, what does that 0.1, 1.0, 1.1 means etc? :D
Like that, "3.0 ambilob"... Seen alot of people with that, even on the swedish forums! :D

the signature denotes what you have
the first # is male, the 2nd is female
so I have
3.0
three males all ambi's
1.0
1 male
nosy be
my horse is 0.1
a girl!
i do not have experience with veileds, but I have learned they can go thru a "grumpy period" when going into puberty :p

misting is a huge deal, I have a misting system but also hand mist with very warm water, and i give them all showers (they are in with me!)

Mist on top, the sides, for me directly on them, whatever it takes to keep them hydrated

I agree that personality plays a huge part, My cham will usually hiss and puff up when first approaching him in his cage, he bluffs with a mouth wide open ready to strike.lol. but as soon as my hand is under where he is perched he will normally walk right down on it, deflate and be calm as a clam. I find that if they can associate coming out with something good they will normally come rather willingly, i usually take my cham out to spend time outside on his favorite mini trees, i also have a free range i bring him over to if i know im gonna be at home for the afternoon, he loves his free range and trees so he often comes very willingly, holding them is fine to a extent(and depending on cham), and if you plan to hold them allow them to explore you (within reason) as they can seek out a perch on you that will comfort them best. If you start to see dark banding or darker colors its time to return them to there comfort zone (cage), i would get a stand alone tree for indoors for your little girl, and start with it right next to the cage but not close enough for the cham to climb on the cage, (might get to curious about the lights) ...but let her roam the tree and enjoy her while she is on it. she is a cute little girl, chekc out Jannb's blog on caring for the female Veiled, excellent stuff

A 5 1/2 ft Iguana named Ruben is and has been a part of our family for years..since he was a wee little baby, and he is a sweetheart, he resents your comment :(

SonTigerPantherCham:
Thanks :D
Shower part, is awesome!:D How should I do with my cham? It's just some months... Would it be cruel to spray a little easy on the cham with quite warm water?:)

Hehe, just got a terrarium atm, hopefully building a cage later on when she's older! :)
The colour thing was awesome fact! Sometimes she get's a bit, dark greyish.. Actually I do put her in the terrarium then since it doesn't seem like anything positive. Same when the tail goes right up in the sky and that greyish colour:D
But mostly she's green, tail falling down or spiral, sitting on my hand:D
Hmm, so I should just like, sit still and let her crawl up on my head and stuff? haha:D
Got a huge plant that I could place there, yeah :D Thanks!

Aww.. Your Iguana, pat him from me. :( <3

Well first off I would recommend a cage that has all four or 3 sides with screen, preferably pvc coated for their lil toenails :) I've done a lot of research and chameleons need fresh air flowing and then climbing as well. Also its helpful with cleanin and the cage smells so fresh ha..for the drainage I actually took several ideas and combined..ill have pictures up next week. I have a 2" thick wood board as my base and painted 4 coats low voc latex acrylic weatherproof and covered it with fiber glass. I lifted each corner about a half an inch so all then water goes into then center where I installed a pvc pipe they use for they bathroo anfd a bucket to catch all the water. You can always buy a large flat container and bore a hole on 1 side and tilt tbe cage so it will go into that hole and place a bucket under to catch it.. If Imisspelled or it sounds weird sorry im on the bus going home from work and im using my phone to write this

D efinitelyconsider a aluminum screen cage..ppl sell used 1 for cheap and also remember your lil one will need a bigger cage soon..hope I helped

Regarding the mister I got mine when his cage was smaller. They come with different pieces and u can cut the tubes to fit ur cage :) your cham will love it
