Taming

Hey i was wondering if anyone could give me any tips or advice on taming my veiled chameleon. Ive had him for almost 3 weeks now and I would guess he's maybe almost 3 months old? He's still very timid and is also aggressive towards my hand being anywhere near him. He is a pretty active little guy and seems to enjoy himself. I know it takes a long time to possibly being able to handle him if I ever can. Any tips though to start going in the right direction would be much appreciated :)

Veiled cham can be more aggressive sometimes,it all depending on how u raise them,In my opinion,u can use his favorite feeders to let him get used to ur friendly offer, sometimes you can also use a branch or stick n continue to build the "trust " between u n him, time and patience will be the key of the elements to let the veiled sees u not as a threat to them, good luck to ur cham.

I agree completely! To tame my veiled (which I got from the pet store at about 5 months of age) I used a chop stick and his favorite feeders to gain his trust. I also left his cage door open with supervision. One day he just climbed out of his cage by himself and ever since then he is super friendly and always wants out!

I agree with them, defiantly start by hand feeding.

As far as later getting him put, dont pull him from his cage. they are territorial and dont want you in his space. Use a branch or something and let him come out then handle him. do it on his terms not yours. Those are just some tips I have seen said.
