That’s why I’m looking more into a red-knee or rosehair. The more ornamental species are beautiful, though.

I gave up on tarantulas. The last one I had escaped and caused all kinds of mayhem....

Aw dwarf tarantulas are cute. I had one too, tried to breed him, he got eaten.

@kinyonga yes this species kicks hair but they aren't overly irritating

I have a problem I was holding him or her and they ran off my are and one leg came of what do I do

It should regrow the leg with the next molt but I think it might not be perfect. Each molt should improve it.

I once had two Rose hairs and a zebra striped given to me...but I didn't keep them too long.

Great Tarantula-- I had Rose hair for 8 years and just gave it to a local breeder. She was a great pet but I became allergic to her hair. She didn't even shoot/flick either. Darn old age crap.

Sooo…they can just drop their legs and regrow them? And they flick their hairs at you? Ok. I’m most definitely going to stick with reptiles and mammals.

Yes, my leopard geckos can drop their tails if feeling threatened, but I’m gentle with them. My cats and dog don’t flick their hair, but it ends up everywhere regardless.
