That time of the year?

My male Veiled Cham (8 months) went to bed today around 45 mins early before lights out. I live in the mid east of the U.S. and our daylight hours went back about a hour or so. He started shedding today and I think he might just be stressed and tired. He didnt seem to happy today when I tried to get him out for some sun so I just left him in for the day

Does anyone think its just the sun schedule? It's usually up when his lights come on around 6:30. I set his timer in tune with the new schedule just now. I'll see if he starts to go on with the unusual sleeping habit tomorrow.

His urates are nice and a good white, perfectly fine. He's getting multi vit and calcium w/d3 twice a month and the no d3 cal everyday.
I give him a feeding of 7 crickets a day along with 3 meal worms and 2 wax worms. Should I cut back on the wax worms? I like to give him a variety for the day while I'm at school but I'm afraid he could be gaining some un-needed fat. He isn't skin and bone but he sure isn't plump. He's always been skinny though, since I first got him 6 months ago.

EDIT: Our day light time was about 6:30am-8pm before. Now its around 6am-7pm

try not to feed him waxworms daily as they are high in fat and can lead to a over weight cham. he seems amazingly healthy and you should just feed the waxies in moderation. have fun!

I had just started doing it about a week ago so I'll stop. I knew they were high in fat and not the healthiest thing so I limited him on them. Thanks :D

Hi! It could very well be the daylight hours that are getting to him. I know some people on this forum actually change the light schedule through the year to help match in with the sun rise/set. If you are going to alter his light times you should only do a little change a day until you get to your desired times. It can be a bit of a shock to the system if the lights suddenly come on an hour earlier or later than usual so I would say 15 minutes alteration at a time would be ok :)
