the Light I'm using

So, I just got my baby cham on friday and my parents have been taking care of it and were going to pick up the set I puchased on kijiji on there way through. Well today is the first time I have got to see the cage, lighting, and pascal all together. Well, the top of the cage is a screen top and since we got him, he has seemed to really like climbing on the top, upsidedown under the light (don't worry its not the heat light) so, what I notice is when it goes under the light he goes a dark green with black spots, is this normal? Should I use a different light? I really want to be a good cham owner and I am willing to make any improvements to help my little guy out. Thanks :)

Is that him in your avatar??? If so,,,he`s beautiful!!!!
I hate when mine goes upside down it makes me feel like his cage is inadequate,,,:(
But I have heard this is normal!!!
My guy goes very dark, and I agree with camimom on the absorbing thing!!!
got any pics of your cage?? or maybe,,,even tho you dont have any health issues you might want to fill out this,,,https://www.chameleonforums.com/how-ask-help-66/,,,so that people can visualize your setup and supplement routine and be able to advise you better!!!

What kind of UVB light is it? Also, what wattage of heat bulb are you using and what is the temperature gradient in the cage?

Thanks for putting my mind at ease :p and tbh I'm not too sure about the heat lamp but I only keep it on for minutes at a time just to bump up the temp to the correct temp to about 82-84. Here's a pic Of the UVB light. Is this not the right kind?

well, personally, I hate coiled bulbs. But that fixture is actually supposed to house one UVB bulb and one heat bulb if i'm correct, so you may actually be giving him too much UVB.

Wow! Never thought of that. Thanks so much. Would it be best if I took one bulb out and left the otherone in?

The bulbs are fine, having two bulbs doesn't produce twice the uvb, it just spreads it over a larger area. He won't get burns or anything.

I didn't know that they can get too much UVB.

*never mind, I just read the last 2 posts (they were on the next page hehehe oops)
