***The Official Enclosure Picture Thread***

Ended up going bioactive with the new setup. Planted substrate with charcoal and drainage layer. Put some big leafed plants on the female side in case she drops some babies

I just finished some upgrades to Toruk's cage. I will be building a cage from scratch this year, but for now this should keep him happy. Not sure why but they post sideways when i attach them, but they are correct on my computer - sorry!

What kind of plant is that that’s growing the vines down your enclosure? that looks awesome

It’s a type of tillandsia, it’s non-toxic and doesn’t require soil. The humidity is enough care to keep them healthy! I have like 4-5 in my enclosure right now and they grow BEAUTIFUL pink and purple blooms. You can get them on amazon if you don’t live near a nursery. My veiled likes to eat the blooms

Ok Awesome i looked them up but there is a ton of different sub species you wouldn’t Happen to know what that is would you? Would ordering something like this work? The middle one looks like the one in the cage. I guess more of what I’m asking is any of them safe?

All tillandsias and non-toxic i have an assortment in my enclosure. The thicker ones will sustain better i Believe i have some sort of bulbosa or Medusa

this is LaMar , he is about 6 years old, he was rescued from a very bad home , now id like to think he thinks he is retired , he worked hard enough at keeping him self alive his first 2 years , that now he can relax

Hi, and thank you for the compliment :)

The light is more of a blue not purple. The light schedule is set from 7AM to 7PM, then all but the blue lights turn off. The blue lights are not for heat, they're meant to simulate moonlight for an additional 2 hours until 9PM when they shut off, then it's dark until 7AM.

I have a T5 5.0 UVB strip, a 6500K, 3400 lumen LED strip light that includes the blue LEDs, and a basking bulb.

Temps drop to 64F at night, and there is no heat provided through the night.

I've also added a fogger in the last week or so, so I can keep humidity up in my dry winter climate. Updated pic included. If you look closely you can see him curled up, settling down for the night in the middle left of the pic under a leaf. The lights turned off after I snapped the pic.

Thanks for the comment and suggestions :)
I love that cage it is absolutely friggin’ gorgeous especially the black

Just recently got this one setup, still have some fake rock to make and what not but am liking the look so far.
