The storm knocked out our power

The power lines were across our back yard and the pole & transformer crashed through our neighbors fence. Luckily no one was injured, but no electricity since midnight last night. Poor little Squirt didn't get his basking light this morning. Luckily it is warm here, but I had to put him in his home so he could eat & drink his water. I hated to leave him, but had to go to work.
I came home at lunch, the electricity is still out so I put Lil Squirt on his ficus tree up in our bedroom. He was actually happy to see me & to get out of that dark little enclosure. I put him on his tree facing the window & he was as happy as a bug in a rug .
Our electricity won't be on until after 7pm this evening.

They don't like not being able to bask under a nice warm lamp and I feel like we are abusing them...

One or two days won't be a problem. It's not tike they never have a couple of days of rain and don't get much sun. An hour of outdoor sunning should easily make up the loss.

One or two days won't be a problem. It's not tike they never have a couple of days of rain and don't get much sun. An hour of outdoor sunning should easily make up the loss.

Thank you...I worry about him not getting his daily uva/uvb. I will make sure he gets out in the sun as soon as possible.

Me too....I hope it will be back on tonight. Earlier it was going to be 4pm, now it's going to be 7pm....I wonder if it will be tomorrow..ugh.

His shedding is off...not sure what happened. His crown & top of his back is shedding only...not the rest of him. Is there something I need to do or is this normal?

That is so true! I'm so thankful that no one was hurt. Lil Squirt's home is in the dining area near the windows....I was up and down all night checking on him. I'm going to have to make him a "safe place" just in case we have a bad storm again. I do not want anything to happen to that little guy.

His shedding is off...not sure what happened. His crown & top of his back is shedding only...not the rest of him. Is there something I need to do or is this normal?

Just keep doing everything like you normally do. As they get older sometimes veileds shed in sections.
