The Truth

I don't think I am supposed to tell people this.

Chameleons are not that sensitive that a little harmless experimentation is going to send them spiraling to their death.

It is not the end of the world when Petsmart gets a chameleon in for sale.

Even though you have almost no experience you can breed no problem and learn along the way.

Just because someone says something works does not mean thats the only thing that works.

You can feed a chameleon meal worms and not worry about impaction any more than a superworm.

Chameleons are no harder to take care of than most other reptiles.

and Ampiskiana does not exist at least with the spelling used.

I am sure there are more but this should be enough to start the hate mail. jk

God Thank you! I was so worried about Ozzie wanting mealies so much and him getting constipated. Our Petsmart takes very good care of the Chams they get in, its the Petcos around here that don't.....should I have said that?

We can be friends if no one else will have us. :D

Just don't over do the meal worms. Both "meal worms" and "supers" can cause impaction. But guess what so can a cricket.

Ok he eats about 10 per day and he is still pooping 2" logs. I refuse to feed supers cuz they bite and I would be so afraid I might bite it back:eek:

You should be fine but try other feeders mixed in as well. Supers can be nasty especially when the chams are small. Keep an eye out for mealworm body parts in his poop. That may give you a clue he may be getting a little impacted. If its pooping fine you are good.

well hopefully they will all be Mon-Stars when they come out...the anticipation has been killing me haha, i can only imagine how you're feeling

I look 3 times a day and hope for at least a pip. Rob has 4 of the eggs from this clutch and they are not hattching yet either
