These eggs were laid last October and will be 9 months old on the 19th of this month. THEY STARTED HATCHING TONIGHT! Well, at least one is head out of the egg-there are 69 of these eggs!

Now-let me tell you a story!
My job was eliminated in March and I have been off work since then. Tomorrow --I START MY NEW JOB!

The Veileds waited until I have to go back to work! Trace, Kent, Mike, Chris, and countless others called it-they said they would start hatching the day I had to go back to work!!!!!

No worries, there will be people available to care for the babies!.

I will post pics shortly! :D

OMG! You can't be serious. That's just too..... funny for words.

However, if I'm that good with the predictions, maybe I should go and buy myself a lottery ticket while I'm at it. ;)

Good luck with the new kids Juli. I know you've been waiting for these for a while now.
Cheers,
t

It. Is. About. Time.

Congrats Juli, I know how happy and excited you must be to finally see some hatching veileds!

Alright Juli! I can't wait for that day... I am trying to forget about my eggs as much as possible... The wait is a killer! Good Luck with your new Babies... And your new job!

Congradulations! Congradulations!
Can't wait to see pics of the babies and good luck with your new job.

Here she is-it appears to be a girl-and very shy. She started hatching Monday night, laid in the egg most of yesterday, and was crawling around this morning. She is a pretty big girl!

Very cute babe........

Great photos Juli! What a shy little one :) Are you ready with enough fruit flies and pinhead crickets? That's my biggest worry. I've either got too many feeders or not nearly enough. Have any more hatched? Good luck with the new job too :) Catherine

I have got way too many feeders! So no worries there! I just got home from work and there are eggs sweating in both bins now-I think I will have ALOT of chameleons in a few days! :)

Here is a better picture of the "princess"! She has one sibling almost out of the egg and many other eggs are sweating!

Just for informational purposes...
I found the first one head out on monday-and she was not fully out until late Tuesday night. Other started sweating Tuesday night, but only one is 90% out now, no one else appears pipped. More are sweating-seems like a long process from sweating to pipping to being head out to walking around for this clutch!

Yeah!!!!She is sooo cute. How can you tell? We just had 32 hatch ( 100% hatch rate) 4 weeks ago and i still can't tell. Guess that is the old age coming in with the eyesight. 69 OMG. If you have any extra feeders send them my way. lol. I can't believe how much these guys eat! Good luck. How is the new job going?

Look-I am posting! Thank you for all the good wishes about my new job! I love it and it is very exciting to learn all the aspects of a new business. I feel truly lucky to have found such a great place-and I have a huge corner office with floor to ceiling windows! :) I would have been happy with a cube! I have checked the forum a few times at work, but don't want to abuse the internet use so you won't see me on much during the weekdays anymore! :( With all my new baby pygmies and the hatching Veileds it has certainly been a busy week! And today everyone needs cage cleaning and many need plant refreshers!

Congratulations on everything, Juli. We've had a busy week too. One brev hatched (2 others didn't make it). And yesterday our veileds began hatching at 6 1/2 months!
