I understand the importance of setting up basking spots and perches a certain distance from the heat bulb to prevent burns, but how do you prevent your chameleon from wandering all along the screen and hanging out in these restricted areas??
Raise the lights up off the top of the cage.
Thanks RobG. It's good to hear that someone else experienced this. I am not sure that it's a temperature thing, I really think he's just a bit nervous. I will play around with the lights to see if I can move them away without messing up the overall temps too much. Maybe raise the whole cage up a few more inches so he'll be a little higher? (Right now the highest perch is slightly above eye level.)

I think it might be partially due to if you have a younger cham, seems that they have a lot of energy and wander the cage, climb on ceiling and screen, ect. hopefully ur baby will grow out of it(I'm assuming its a young cham correct me if I'm wrong)
