I understand the importance of setting up basking spots and perches a certain distance from the heat bulb to prevent burns, but how do you prevent your chameleon from wandering all along the screen and hanging out in these restricted areas??![]()
Raise the lights up off the top of the cage.
Thanks RobG. It's good to hear that someone else experienced this. I am not sure that it's a temperature thing, I really think he's just a bit nervous. I will play around with the lights to see if I can move them away without messing up the overall temps too much. Maybe raise the whole cage up a few more inches so he'll be a little higher? (Right now the highest perch is slightly above eye level.)

I think it might be partially due to if you have a younger cham, seems that they have a lot of energy and wander the cage, climb on ceiling and screen, ect. hopefully ur baby will grow out of it(I'm assuming its a young cham correct me if I'm wrong)
