They arrived

Considering her size and how she chooses to perch (bottom heavy) then she is most likely gravid. FYI Trioceros ellioti give live birth.

I just did a quick search on them and they are like Jackson similar in care ImageUploadedByTapatalk1357230867.760132.jpg
Do you have any clue what that is sticking out of her vent?

it was a orange little turd sticking to her vent. sorry about the pics i could get any closer with out her running to the back

Your male is absolutely awesome. Terrific shape!! I didnt even have to look at the other comments to tell you had an ellioti female. That is a bummer. I hope he sends you a female boehmei and you can keep the ellioti. I think you should just get it for free IMO. She does appear to be gravid also.

Not exactly sure about what is sticking out of the vent but it doesnt appear to be a prolapse. My guess is that it is a dried urate from being shipped with a heat pack. She probably pooped in the container and that stuck and dried since the heat packs can give off a lot of heat and kills the humidity.

you know, funny thing, the exact opposite thing happen here in stockholm at a reptil show, the was some people from a store that was selling kinyongia boehmeis and elliots chamelon but later show to be kinyongia boehmei females

Agreed.. It was his mistake sending you an ellioti and not a boehmei... and if he does take her back you shouldnt have to pay a dime

how do you get the humidity in your cage higher

Are you referring to the boehmei or ellioti? The two will have different requirements. Boehmei is more of a sub montane species where ellioti is a montane species. The ellioti will need more consistent humidity 70% daytime to very high at night. Boehmei will need a good amount of humidity but they do see a good drop in some seasons to below 50% in the day time.

Some things that will help are live plants, misting sessions (but make sure the cage dries out) and you can also use a cool mist humidifier. The important thing is to make sure the air is not stagnant in the cage or room they are in.

That male is great!!

That is an excellent male. He is just first class, for fresh imports you could not do better. Why does all the cool stuff come in when I am gone form he house for a few hours??

Nick shipped me the wrong cham once. He told me to keep the other one as shipping it back was more than the cham cost. So maybe elliotti on the way.:) I might be able to do some thing for a cage, for a baby if you get babies and get to keep the female. Pm me
