They Said Male...

I've had this little guy? for about two weeks. We got him from the local Pets Mart for free basically because they said no one wanted him, he was aggressive, mean and about 6 months old. No one except me.:) I've haven't had any of those problems with the cham since I liberated it from the tiny box it was in. It's actually been quite amiable, and unafraid. I've had other reptiles in the past but never kept a cham before. They said it was a male and 6 moths old at the pet store but I cannot see the spurs on the feet. I was hoping you guys could help me out. I'll need to do some more research if its a girl so i can keep it healthy. Here are some picture of the enclosure and the cham to help you identify it.

Yes, female for sure. I would add the bin, she looks to be of decent size and could be 6 months. I would also add some more foliage at the top of the cage. It is kinda bare! What are you using for light? I am only seeing one and you should have both (basking) and uvb light source. If that is a combo bulb that is ok, but if that is just basking you must get her a uvb bulb. Also do you know about calcium supplementation and gutloading your feeders.?

Yes, it's a combo light, but I'm going to get a stronger one because it's not warm enough. Today I swapped it with one of my photography hot lamps (further away)to make it warmer as its raining and my house temperature has dropped a bit...She was drab colored and perked right up with the change. I do take her outdide nearly everyday for some real sun too. Luckily we live in a place where we can do that. I keep a close watch on her while she free ranges and she seems to really enjoy it. I am guy loading my crickets and using the supplements. She been flashing some dark bars today, I'm thinking my 4 year old's presence is annoying to her.

I'm a voracious reader and scientist by degree and nature so I've been reading and learning everything I can. I just switched the enclosure up before I took the picture. I had a hibiscus in there, but it needed a break to outside and I think it was taking up to much space- constricting her environment. I'm heading to get some arial plants today. And something to put on top the cage, because she really enjoys going up here where the ficus was before I put it in the enclosure.
