They wont eat it if it's in a cup!

My new Panthers will only eat the crickets once they are poured into their enclosure, Which poses an issue because the enclosure wasn't made cricket escape proof. I would love to get them to eat from the cup so I could monitor closer exactly how much each one is eating, and I don't have to keep catching crickets scurrying across the floor. That and there are so many plants and places for the crickets to hide.. and I hear them chirp at night. I have tried Large size Plastic cups from Jack n the Box... They didn't touch them... I tried a more shallow container my worms came in... they still wont take them. But once I pour the 10 crickets into the cage they start running at them. But some end up hiding in the foliage and chirping all night. Is there a method to get them to eat from the cup. They will eat supers from my hand any time I oofer them one... but I tried to offer a cricket from my hand and he wouldn't take it. Any tricks?

Oh no they are not housed together.. It is one large custom cage with a solid divider down the middle. The only time I expose them to each other is if her colors seem receptive.

Thanks...That was an awesome link.... I am going to try and make a couple of those tomorrow. That has has some interesting tips.

I have yet to make the jug style feeder, my jacksons are strange one day they will eat from the deli cup one day they wont. I vary his diet with wax worms as he loves meal worms and doesnt like crickets too much. My chams prefer to eat right off the basking vine above all, they are lazy I suppose...or tamed!
