She has fallen off the branch 3 times in 2 weeks, came home to her hanging from the branch. I gently pushed her up.
She is 6 - 6 1/2 years old. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1352134573.492925.jpg

Try turning her cage on the side or put some netting in there to catch her. I am taking care of several old and or sick chameleons and they can live for months and months after starting to fall if you don't let them get hurt falling. It would be a good idea to take her for a check up at a good chameleon vet if you have one. Often they have health issues at they start to age and there's different meds they can give them to help depending on their problem.

Im sorry. That is how one of my really old males acted about a month before he passed. I made him a little hammock that was stiff but covered in fabric (so he could hold onto it) for him to sit in when he was close to passing. It was big enough that the corner was under the heat lamp so he could move in and out of the heat. He couldnt move around much by then.

6 years is quite a long time for a female! Congrats on keeping her so well.

Edit: He was a grumpy old man and I took him to the vet around then but I think it was more stress than he could handle (the vet just said he was surprised he was so old and that there wasnt really anything we could do but make him comfy.) He stopped eating on his own in his last week or two. I tried popping a few bugs in his mouth but he wasnt really trying to eat. I think he just knew it was his time.

I am sorry to hear Dizzy's is on the decline. It is really hard to lose a cham. But you caring for him until he is that old shows great care. I lost my oldest cham the first part of this year. My guy was 8, it was so hard to watch him go from the baby I remembered. But Arnold will always be in my heart just a Dizzy will be in yours.

My geriatric ward consists of massive amounts of pothos, and sticks that dont go higher than 3" above the pothos in a cris cross pattern. I also have the heat lamps at 45 degree angles.

Thanks people.
You have my gratitude, maybe her time is coming soon, a real shame as the guy I got her from was going to leave her in an empty flat over 3 years ago.

I'm so glad you rescued her and have given her a good life.:)

wow 6 year old female thats a great life indeed glad to hear you have done such a great job my oldest male is gonna be 8 this year and he has really slowed down he has so many branchs he cant fall far either but he is a trooper they can live a long healthy life many of us have proven that great job but also sorry to hear dizzy aint doin so great.

That is a great life for a female :)
I'm really sorry she is in the dumps. Try having something to catch her. Just give her lots of extra lovins and spend as much time as possible :)

It's hard when your heart warns you it's their time to go; but that instinct & sensitivity allows you to give her the very best care in the time that's left. Here's hoping she'll give a few more happy months :)

Would it be wise to put her in a shorter cage?
I was given some meds by my vet months ago when she fell and bruised her lower back so I think I'll do her a 7 day course to perk her up.
It's metacam I think

Wow, that's a really long happy life for a female! You must be an extremely talented keeper:). I'm so sorry to hear that dizzy isn't doing so great right now. I just lost one of my cham's, he was really young at 10 months.. Just reminisce over the good times you've had and how many goofy things she did to make you smile and laugh:). If she could talk, I bet she would tell you how much she cared for you. Good luck and I hope you are able to make some new good memories before it's her time.
