Thinking about buying a Leopard Chameleon.... any advice on this breed?

I know many people have Veiled Chameleons but the panther breed strikes me also. Any advice for a newcomer to this hobby? Thanks!

Well, I've only had my panther for about a month
but I honestly can't get enough of my little guy! He's my second chameleon I've ever owned and he is just the most awesome and adventurous thing ever! I don't have any experience with veilds, but even though he doesn't have that wicked casque he does have some amazing colors and a big personality :D

Yeah if you do end up getting a panther and don't want to spend crazy amounts on your first guy Jim's chams are just as good for half the price of some of the other guys. I have chams from alot of the site sponsors so I'm not trying to knock them but I have never gotten an unhealthy cham from The Cham Co. and every single one has turned out unbelievable. It seems to have turned out backwards for em, for half the price you get double the color. Lol, jk. Screameleons.com has a good husbandry guide as well as the chameleon company. Just about any site sponsor selling panthers has a very good husbandry guide. Check em out and then if there is anything you need cleared up feel free to ask. What locale panther cham are you looking to get?

Thanks so much for all the advice. I had no clue where I'm going to get my first panther, but after reading everyone's posts I feel better. I live in the Chicagoland area so I'm not sure about good places around here. I think I will just order from one of the sponsers.
