Yes, REALLY crying (I can go to tears within 5 seconds, it's quite impressive if I do say so myself ).

Looks like the clip we saw was part of a documentary they made about Christian and his story (oh, and no worries about him saying hi to hunters, he went to live on a preserve in Kenya where he would be protected). The documentary is supposedly available on DVD, though I have only found it on VHS so far. It's called "Christian the Lion: The Lion at World's End."

Yep, I ordered it.
