Thoughts on just using Repashys calcium plus

I have been researching supplementations, I am personally not having any problems but curiosity got me wondering if I could do it better. I have been reading that some people do Repashy calcium plus lightly dusted at every feeding vs. calcium without d3 daily, with d3 and multivitamin twice monthly. My understanding is some people feel it is better giving them small doses all the time vs. the twice a month method. My guys don't get a whole lot of outside time being it is to cold. I also read that if they do get the natural UVB they use the Repashy calcium lod everyday. I guess I am just curious what other keepers do? I know that gutloading and feeders play a huge role in the whole equation too. Also I am mostly speaking of Panthers and Veileds, I know montane species require a different schedule! Thanks for helping with my curiosity:)

Yes, Repashy Calcium Plus to dust feeders and Repashy Superload, Bee Pollen ,some vegetables and flukers cricket quencher for gutloading & hydrating feeders . Thats it.

I’d supplement 4 out of 7 days a week for panthers or veileds, not every feeding. Your gutloading should be fulfilling the nutritional needs of the Chameleon, with supplements filling in the gaps. Since chameleons only occasionally eat vertebrate prey, they aren’t used to dietary D3 being constantly needing to be processed. Just my thoughts.

Is the 4 out of 7 days suggestion for adults only (panthers and veileds)? Or would you say the recommended schedule would work for those 2 types of chameleons at any stage?

Thanks everyone for responding!

I do offer a variety of feeders and gutload with a variety of different greens/veggies and my guys have been doing great! I agree with @Extensionofgreen that supplements just help fill in the gaps:) Thanks for helping with my curiosity(y)

Since you will be dusting more and larger prey items for adults than you would for babies, that is the supplement schedule I use for all stages. You rely on the amount of prey versus the amount of supplements, in relation to the size/stage/gravid condition of the animal, rather than the frequency of supplementing, to achieve the desired results.
