Recently purchased a veiled chameleon he/she (I don’t know the gender) seems to be healthy, any suggestions before I take it for a vet visit?View attachment 361151View attachment 361153
Chameleon Info:Copy and paste the husbandry review that was posted above into your reply and fill it out with as much detail as possible. There are specifics that can be seen just from your pictures. Such as you will never run a fogger during the day. To run one of these it should be at night only and only if temps are below 67. Running them during hot temps and with lights on makes it high risk for the cham to develop a respiratory infection. Next no moss vines. Not only do these grow bacteria the cham will try to chew the moss off which posses an impaction risk. Also seeing a double dome light. Hopefully you upgraded and got a T5HO linear UVB light to replace the screw in compact UVB bulb. Per the gender you want to post pics of the back of the back feet so we can see if there are spurs there.
What are you using to measure your temps and humidity. running two 50 watt heat bulbs is going to produce temps that exceed what the baby should be exposed to. You would be looking at 100Watts worth of heat which can easily exceed 90 degrees.Chameleon Info:
