What a beautiful clutch you have. How will you ever be able to part with them? I would want to keep all those cuties.:D

thanks everyone for enjoying the photos with me!

I love the third to last picture. That little guy is eating while the other one is checking him out. Great capture

I liked that one too. The little guy didnt want to chew with everyone watching. Probably afraid a sibling would steal the lunch right out of his mouth. He sat like that with the stunned "oh no i think they can see me eating" look on his face, not moving or chewing, for quite awhile!

Healthy looking bunch. How many were in that clutch?
Yes thanks they are doing great. I think there were 22 or 24 in the clutch. I only kept half the eggs (other half went to the owner of the male stud that fathered them with my female). Sold off a couple babies in the early stages (to someone who knows how to deal with babies). The fella who got the other half the eggs didnt have quite as much success, lost several of them unfortunately. But all mine are going strong. There are three or four growing much slower than the others, but thats fairly normal. I've separated those out now, so that they have better chance at food without the bigger bullies around.

How do u sex panther's..
At this age, its fairly easy to tell by looking at colour and tail base. When younger, the "kent vent" method seems to work quite well. Do a search for a post by Kent on sexing babies.

I know, eh!? Im trying to be very very very firm with myself. I am going to sell or give away every last one of them, i hope. I'm actually planning to keep one of another clutch (younger Nosy be x ambilobe crosses), and that's all I really have room for. I simply must not take over another room in our little house for pets!

If you're curious, I weighed a bunch yesterday and they ranged from 5-10grams. Its been awhile since I had babies, but I think this is about normal. The smaller ones should put on more weight now that they are separated (as of a week or so ago) from the bigger ones.

Thanks :) I had to take five pictures to get one that wasnt blurry. The little guys do NOT like the camera! Happily they look good in person, and half are already sold.

My avatar at the moment is an Ambilobe.
