los New Member Feb 21, 2012 #1 how long is safe for a chameleon to be handled, or away from their terrarium. my jackson seems to enjoy falling asleep in my hair and gets super pissed when i wake him up even to put him back in the cage.

los New Member Feb 21, 2012 #3 it seems as though they are sleeping a lot during the day their tails will curl up and unless they are just closing their eyes and basking they are sleeping. they fall asleep right when the lights go out and wake up right when they turn on.

carol5208 Chameleon Enthusiast Feb 21, 2012 #4 honestly, that is not normal and can be a sign of illness. Incorrect lighting can also be the culprit. Chameleons do NOT sleep during the day.
