So I want to do some sort of time lapse video or gif of my chameleon but am not too good knowledge wise with cameras. Has anyone done this before? If so, I was wondering what camera(cheap) is good to do it with? Or also it would be cool to have a site I make and can go to view a live stream of the enclosure?

You can make an easy time lapse video using photos and windows movie maker. Its the easiet to use. You just have to import the pictures and select how long you can see each photo. You can also plug music in if you wanted to.
For live streaming, you can use www.ustream.tv

Thanks I've heard of ustream before, don't know why it crossed my mind. But about the time lapse I was hoping for something more like having a camera on a tripod on for an hour or so. I don't think I have the patience to stand there and hold the camera and wait till my little guy moves. the tripod would make it more focused on one spot, not choppy from my shaky hands.

Well I feel like an idiot now. Yes I am talking about that, sorry I'm not to good with that type of stuff. Now that we straightened that out, what cameras are good for that?

I'm not sure to be honest. You'll need something with a fast shutter speed. Also look for something that has some kind of burst picture mode.
Hopefully someone else can give you some more info.

Some point and shoot cameras have a time lapse option. What were you going to use to do it??? You can do it with at slr and remote timer cord. The hard way would be to put a camera on a tripod and take a photo every three seconds.
