tips on cup feeding

Decided to try cup feeding the other day, my little guy wouldnt think twice about eating out of it, put it under his favorite perch and he just store at them forever, no attempts to shoot them out or anything, figured maybe he just needed some time, came back a few hours later and still nothing, the second i dumped them back out into his cage he shot em all down within minutes, any tips or tricks to it? or do some chams just enjoy the thrill of the hunt?

Sirny,

I think te best thing you can do is put his fav food in there and don't give in to dumping them out into the cage.
give him time to get used to the cup and the food inside it.
when he gets hungry enough, he'll eat from it.

this could take a few days, so just chill out and don't dump them out into the cage.

mainly just so hed associate the cup with food, in case i ever wanted to switch up the food a bit, like give him sum veggies/fruit etc.

Put fewer insects into the cup - too many at once can confuse them, until they get the association of cup to food

I agree with this, but for a different reason. One time my veiled hit the crickets perfectly and got 2 large crickets with one shot. Don't want him grabbing more than what he can chew. Other solution would be to use a bowl/something with a larger bottom surface. Remember even when you cup feed to ensure some crickets jump out, if they can't then release half so your cham can hunt as well.

I just put a cupp filled with superworms in my male panthers cage and hes gobbling them up. It didnt take much for him to learn this method. I think its easier to feed this way. You can keep track of every thing he consumes and its cleaner thats for sure.:D
