Honestly the more hiding spot, the better! As long as your chameleon can still get around, I think you're good!

She has hiding spots galore now.. Compare to before she had the branches from the real plant nd 1 main bendy branch now she has about 6 bendy branches.. Gona b hard to get her out when its outside time... Lol

honestly i think you could put more over that right side of the cage, it seems a bit bare. Also put some nice horizontals going around in there. Is that feeder ledge the small or large magnetic one? I just ordered he small one for my 18x18x36 because I thought the large one would take up way too much space haha and my cage is very cramped with plants and sticks and stuff

You want to have horizontal branches placed at various dirtances from the basking lamp. That way, your cham can use the branch were he/she feels most comfortable.
I dint think you have too much foliage, just keep in mind it may effect the kind of UVB you use.
Some people choose a 12% UVB when they have a large cage stuffed with foliage.
Just be sure the basking branch is no more then 12'' away, if using a 12%, and also make sure your cham can not get too close to the heat/basking lamp.
I use 60W incan bulbs, with reflective dome fixture.
At 10'', I get high 80'sF.

For the horizontal branches are u guys referring to those round sticks u secure with thumb tacks or just more bendy braches? And of coarse my basking lamp is in a safe place where she wont get burned.. But she is sure loving all the branches , she wouldnt stay still kept exploring all the different routes i gave her. Thanks for all the advice really appreciate it..

So i took out mostly all the fake vines nd just left the bendy branches.. Not a fan of fake plants plus i have real pothos growing in her cage..

its looking better but would still suggest getting a dowel or 2 from home depot and cutting it up to fit some horizontals into your cage just as an added measure. If it is too slick for your cham to grip onto well you can always use that wrap doctors put on you after giving blood to help give them grip (its what I did)

It looks pretty good to me. Only thing I would change is add more foliage to the basking area so she does not have to be completely out in the open when basking (although not so much that she can't get heat/UV). It seems like my chams will often like to have their bodies partly under leaves to regulate the heat/UVB.

I would go with Psychobunny's advice and just make sure you have multiple horizontal basking vines or sticks at different distances from both heat and UVB. I use mostly dowels from hardware stores just because they are really easy to get the correct length and secure. Real branches work as well as long as you ensure they are clean and cut to appropriate lengths.
