The bottom layer of the cage looks a little sparse... add some more vines and fake leaves and such, a live plant perhaps as well?

whats the stuff on the bottom? looks like horse tail grass... you should take that out. He could eat it accidentally/crickets hide n seek in there.

Other wise looks good.

People are gonna complain about that backboard, but Im fine with it as long as it doesn't rot with all the moisture.

Since he is small, and in a large cage - might be a good idea to cup feed from the get go.

What are you gonna do for an adult cage? that current one wont last him past 6 months.

lol thanks! its actually spanish moss yeah i was thinking about taking it out, im actually gonna build a 2x2x4 enclosure for him soon then use the one he grew out of for pigmy or some dart frogs. and alright i will cup feed him. im so excited to get him this monday =]

Is that a water dish? You can really see it on the 4th pic down bottom left corner. I can't tell :(

If it is you should get rid of it, your lil cham man will use it as a toliet and it can harbor bacteria. If you use it to catch water from a dripper you may want to cover it with screen so your guy doesn't fall in.

If it's not a dish at all disregard this LOL ;)

Get rid of that stuff on the bottom and you may want to put a horizontal brach along the top.

Congrats on your new baby!:D

Well I can't really see much.....

I try to make my cages look like this:

but what you have works for a young cham.... just don't have standing water or anything that the cham can eat that might cause impaction....

With chameleons, enclosures are a little difficult for a transition.

Im guessing your current one is 12x12x18? perhaps 12x12x24. Thats fine and dandy for... the chameleons first 4 months? after that your pushing it.

I would say at four months your best bet would be to move him into a 18x18x36. That will last him to near adult hood at which point you can move him in 18x18x48. Even better! 24x24x48. Sounds expensive? well your not in a cheap hobby mate. :) but heres a tip. From the get go, get him the 18x18x48 cage ( or the 24x24x48! :p ) and just section off the bottom so that it becomes a 18x18x36. Then when he gets large enough you can just remove that section and he will have a great adult cage.

the current cage would make a great pigmy setup though! so at least you would be recycling your money.

Spanish moss is the same as horse tail grass by the way :) just for future reference.

best of luck with your new baby cham. You have everything else you need?

Lights? - basking and uvb ( non coil? )
Spray bottle?
Supp powders?
lots of patience? :)

if he is coming on monday, on sunday go out and get some crickets of appropriate size and gutload them well. That way he will be off to a great start.

its 18x18x 24 =] yeah i still need to get a basking bulb and a container for the crickets and i got some supplements but im hoping for them to arrive soon but i think my cham will come with some cause they said they will put lots of extra goodies =] tons of Patience i wanted one since i was 6 -_-.

yeah it is a water dish LOL but hey maybe i can potty train him =] THANKS =] and okay i will get rid of the moss at the bottom and add another branch horizontal on the top and get a live safe plant and another vine for the littlle fella.

yeah i am not gonna have still water =] but i do need some crickets so i will go buy some either today or on monday.

any of you had experience with nosy falys? i can find to much info/ videos/ pictures of them =[

Nosy falys are panthers... So just look for info on panthers :) I would get rid of the water dish unless it's a catch tub, then I would add screen on top of it.

Nosy Faly panthers aren't cheap.... I hope everything goes well.

Look up info on Panther chameleons. there are all kinds of bits of info.

You can fallow the care for veileds pretty closely except you'll wanna mist a tad more often and have cooler temps.
