Too much light?

So whenever my cham's lights go off, I just hang up a large sheet since they are in my room and I need to be up past nine. I think it gets the job done very well since I need small light if I need to get behind it and check on them. But what I was wondering is how sensitive are chameleons to light? They have 2'x2'x4' cages that seem to stay somewhat dark when their lights go off, so can i keep my room light on? If not, totally fine. Here are some pictures (sry I used my crappy phone camera).

I am wondering if the sheet is too thin and still let's light thru. I use bath sheet towels and no light gets thru those!. But when lights out I take the towels off, so there is air circ.

the sheet idea should be fine as long as the light you use isnt super bright...but you should never have to check on them when they are sleeping...you wouldnt like it if someone woke you up just to say hey

Mine are in my living room...I keep al my same lights on and the TV at full until like 1 am... They'll be fine trust me...

All my friends say the light in my room is dim, so its not very bright. I checked up on them cause I set them up not even a week ago and have been gauging the humidity and temperature at night to make sure the humidity doesn't drop. I just don't want to make insomniac chameleons if I don't use the sheet :(

I would still use the sheet I think I mis-posted... Use the sheet but don't worry about light it wont bother them... Remember... They come from the jungle... Not the most peaceful place...

I would not underestimate the importance of a 12 hour, uninterrupted, unilluminated night's sleep. The jungle is not a peaceful place, but it is an incredibly dark place at night...

I use bath towels. I have it set up so I can wrap the towels around 3 sides. The fourth side is separated from a "wall" by an inch, there is an inch or so below the towels open and the top is open. So, no problem with the ventilation, but the lights of the computer and the TV aren't an issue for the chameleons sleeping near the top of their cages.

I have no lights on in my lounge anyway, just the TV. Budgie has decided her bedtime is about 7pm (she does have an early rise as lights go on at 6am in my house :)) So once she's settled, I switch off her lights but I don't cover the cage or anything, wasn't aware I had to! Tv goes off at 9pm when I potter up to bed (due to affore-mentioned early start )
