Too much pothos?

So lately I've noticed Nasir has taken a real liking to eating the plants in his enclosure. Right now there is a umbrella golden capella, a golden pothos, bamboo, and a hibiscus.

Nasir has been chewing on his plants more and more. Mostly he chomps on the pothos plants and the hibiscus. Haven't seen him bother much with any bamboo or the umbrella.

Should I be concerned that my chameleon is eating too much pothos? Right now it seems like he has demolished a few leaves. I've read that pothos plants are slightly toxic and this is the reason I'm concerned. He is very well fed and has quite an appetite. He will eat atleast 25 crickets a day and that's when I hold back on him...

My boy Ringo eats his plants not very often but he still does. My main concern is that bamboo is toxic to them and I would take it out. I may be wrong but I know for sure that its not on the "Safe Plant" list.

Yeah I've seen mixed opinions about bamboo. You're probably right and I'd rather be on the safe side. Hope the pothos doesn't do anything detrimental!

Pothos are slightly toxic but usually okay. The bamboo you have, if a live plant, is more than likely 'lucky bamboo' and that is toxic. You should remove that immediately. The Hibiscus is safe, I'm not sure about the other you named. Check the "Safe Plant" list.

Have you tried giving him veggies? He might stop eating his plants. Also where did you get your hibiscus from, whenever i look for some i can never find them around here:(

I have two hibiscus that I unfortunately might have to find a new home before we move =( 3-4 months ago the post exchange had a WHOLE bunch and really cheap $11 for a nice size plant :)

I actually tried that this evening when I noticed him chomping on the pothos again... I put a piece of mustard green on top of the pothos hoping he'd taste it but no luck yet. I'll try again tomorrow.

I got the hibiscus at home depot actually. They might be sold out this late in the season but I got a really nice one for only 15$ which I thought was a good deal until I saw them marked down to 10$ a week later. Look around I'm sure you'll be able to find some, if not this year then maybe next spring.

My veileds are always chomping at their pothos plants. No problems and it's been going on for over a year now.
