Tounge damage

So I've read that chams injur their toungesby getting them stuck on objects my Cham is a hunter however I have a feeding cup in his cage and sometimes a couple of crickets will climb in well he seems to have trouble understanding he has to be above the cup to get them and stirkes the cup with his tounge can this hurt him

It could. As long as your cham gets the concept quickly there shouldn't be a problem. However, if he keeps trying repeatedly there could be bruising at the tip of the tongue and that could cause him to stop eating or lead to more serious issues.

Probably won't physically hurt him, but after awhile he will get frustrated at not being able to feed and may lose interest in the cup and the feeders.. Try making a new feeder out of non transparent material or paint the outside of the current one so he cannot see through it.. That way he will be able to eat what he sees.

I'll just take it out I liked watching him snatch them out of the cup but he loves to hunt and if there's a chance of him getting hurt I'll just remove thanks for the reply
