Tray to go under cage?

I'm having the hardest time finding something to serve as a tray underneath my cage. My cage bottom is 16x16. I have it sitting on top of a bath vanity that is 24x18 3/4". I want something I can drill holes into so that water funnels down through the sink into a bucket below. Because the cage sits on a vanity, I want a tray to catch the extra water, so that I have no run off onto the floor.

I want something flat so that it helps with stagnant water. I tried the lid of a plastic storage bin, but because it isn't completely flat (it has grooves in it to lock on top of a bin), I get water pooling in certain areas. I tried looking at a dog kennel crate liner, but they're either too large (will be longer than the vanity) or too small (won't fit the 16x16 cage)

Any ideas would be helpful! Here's a picture of my current set up for reference, with the bin lid under it for now (my cage isn't quite complete FYI)

I use the LLL water trays under all of my cages. they are Very easy to drill for drainage and have worked great fro me. Just make sure that yours will fit in the tray. It measures 16"x16.75". You could also go one size bigger to the 18"x18" if needed. Here is a link to their 16"x16" tray.

This is perfect, thanks!

With this, would I still put in the floor piece that came with my enclosure, and have holes in both that and this piece? I have the zoo med reptibreeze, that comes with a pvc-type flooring piece to go in the bottom of the enclosure. Without it, it's just an open floor, there's no screen there or anything.

Yes, you would still keep the false floor from your cage. Drill several small holes in it to allow for drainage into the water tray. Then drill the hole you will use for the drainage.

Again, thanks, this is exactly what I'm looking for! I'm hoping (assuming) the weight of the plant will help to direct water towards the center, I have quite a few rocks in there so it should.

I called LLL Reptile and was told the 18x18 tray would be too large for my cage (16x16), that the 16x16 wouldn't sit on the 4 L shaped corners of the tray, and they said their 16x16 wouldn't fit my cage either.

Has anyone used the lll reptile tray with a zoo med reptibreeze?

I feel like the 16x16 tray should fit my 16x16 cage, but maybe I'm wrong, it'll be too tight of a fit?

Thanks.

I bought one for my 18x18....it sucked big time. Size was off and I couldn't open my lower door. Don't waste your money. I like LLL and to be clear, I don't believe they make these, just resell them.

I was too lazy to ship it back so I'm planning on using it inside my 24 to sit my plant in. So far it's been a nice holster for my vitamins lol.

I think saying "it sucked" might be a bit dramatic. I use the 24" version for my reptibreeze cages. The tray is very slightly too small. I simply put the back side of the cage inside the tray and the front of the cage rests on the front edge of the water tray, all of the water still drains into the tray. I do not use the lower door anyway, so that would not be an issue for me.

Dragonstrand does also have water trays, but I cannot speak to their fit as they are meant for dragonstrand cages and may have slightly different dimensions than the reptibreeze.

Okay, it was sub par? Semantics none-the-less. $22+ for something that is advertised to fit and did not is far from dramatic...it's fact. A fraction of an inch means not having access to the bottom door which some use. Value for dollar it's not worth it IMO. Since this forum isn't setup for product reviews I won't say much more here.

To be fair, if you read the description, it actually says that it "is designed specifically for our screen cages". These are designed and guaranteed to fit the LLL cages. In no way is it advertised to fit the reptibreeze cages. This is why they give the actual dimensions of the water tray.

Lily, I hope you are able to find one that will work for you.

The LLL trays fit the 16x16x30" cages, but not the 16x16x20" cages. Very snug on the 30" cages, and just a tad too small for the 20". Can work though, if not too picky. Kinda cheaply made IMO. I was totally unimpressed, and they just sit collecting dust in my closet.
