Tribute to Mufasa

We had to let our sweet little man Mufasa go. It was so hard and so very sad but it was the right thing to do. He was old and had been in declining health for years. You can read about his health issues here.

He was a gorgeous animal in his younger days and I’m going to try hard to remember him that way. Mufasa was my daughter’s the first 4 or 5 years of his life and he has been with me full times for over two years although he has been coming to my house since he was 3 or 4 months old. He was always the sweetest boy and I’m going to miss him so much. I wanted to post some photos to honor him.

Jann, I am sooo sorry to hear of Mufasa's passing. He was a gorgeous guy and sooo very lucky to have you in his life as "his" person!!!
I know that you are sad to have lost him, but just try to remember the younger, healthier Mufasa!!! He was a happy boy with you and I'm sooo glad I got to meet him!

Jann - I'm so terribly sorry to read this post, but I know that it was the right decision, and a tough one to make. Unfortunately you've had more than your fair share of loss this year and I know that all of our hearts break a little more reading your Memoriam posts.
