so i decided to build a outdoor enclosure for my cham when i want to leave him outside when i have my days off of work (the enclosure would sit in the middle of a large sumac forest in my yard)... the dimensions of the cage(i believe) are.. 36x22x48 (LxWxH). i built it out of 1x1's, 2x4's and 19 guage wire for the sides.

well, today was the day to place him in it. i brought him outside and placed him right in the middle of the tall hibiscus tree inside the cage. i decided to watch him just for kicks. within 30 sec. i watched my little guy climb off the tree onto the wire, try and poke his head through the wire 3 times...4th times the charm, he was quickly out of the cage and up the sumac tree next to the cage! luckly i was standing right there to grab him before he was the only wild chameleon in MN.

i was gunna just put him in there and walk away. thankfully i didnt.

you're in MN too? well, there's a reason that there aren't wild chameleons here.
*shivers*
well, not lately, but they sure won't last too long.
You're lucky you didn't walk away, though!

JTA - I wouldnt rec. leaving your chams in any ordinary screened cages or cages that a cat could claw his way thru...
