trioceros hoehnelii 5 month old clutch problems

im having a wierd issue with the smaller ones from the clutch. in the pastweek i have lost 3. these guys are much smaller than the rest (about 2/3 the size of the rest). what is happening is they will be ok the day before, eatting and drinking. the next day they will be on the floor of the enclosure, still standing but with the tip of there tongue hanging out. they look bloated and usually die before the day is out. even when they die they dont flatten out. they are still plump.

only thing that has changed in the last few weeks.
i recently gave them flour beetles. they absolutely loved them.

the rest look great and are getting big.

I am currently in a very similar situation with my 2 1/2 month old babies. Down to 8, from 17. Fine one minute, dead the next. I have gone over every detail of everything to see where the issue may be, can't find anything. I have talked with Chris Anderson as well and we can't determine the cause. The final 8 seem to be doing better. The only thing I have done is increase further the humidity at night. Time will tell how these fair. Best of luck to you.

I sure hope most of them pull through for you. I don't know anything about flour beetles but if only a few are having problems that doesn't seem to be the reason. Good Luck. Let me know how it goes.
