Trouble with keeping plants alive in enclosure

I've had my Veiled for 4 months now. He has a mixture of fake plants and one large live plant. I started with a Schefflera plant , which he loved. However it died after about a month. Then I got a croton which is now doing the same. I am not sure if they are dying from the amount of water from the MistKing or the temps constantly being around 85-90. Or even the lack of real sunlight. Does anyone know of a plant I can put in his enclosure that will withstand all of the above?? Thank you!

Like said above, pothos.

But if you wanna stick with a schefflera, get yourself a plant bulb.

I have the quad light fixture from lightyoureptiles, and my schefflera grows like crazy.

Mostly the problem is that the roots of the plants stay to wet for most plants to survive.
So what you may want to do is make sure the pot of the plant has enough drainage, maybe put something under the pot so drainage works better.
You may also want to add a daylight lamp above the enclosure, a simply 6500k tube light should already help.

Yup. This is key.

For my schefflera, I have river rocks at the very bottom. Then a screen. Then the soil.

Also make sure your pot is large enough to give the roots room to grow/breath.
