Ugh... why can't I get his dripper right!

im sorry, I'm probably annoying everyone because this is probably my third or fourth post. Not about this but in general. Anyhow. I had a dripper set up, it was one I bought called Magnaturals. It's the magnetic one that sticks to the side. Only saw my Cham drink from it maybe twice. Also because it's limited to where it can be placed, it was causing water to drip down the side and then on my floor. So I rigged up my on from a plastic coffee container. It sits on top of the screen and drips well. However I would notice Harvey for a couple days just staring at the water dripping, but never actually drinking anything. So I rigged up a vine that hangs underneath and the water drops land on the leaves. I placed the vine near where he hangs out the most. Same thing. He gets really close to it and watches it. But acts like he doesn't know what to do from there. I attached a photo, it's too dark to see the dripper on top, but you can see the vine hanging and water drops on it. Should I leave it be and hope that after a few more days he will get the hang of it. Or remove the vine?

Some chameleons just don't respond to drippers. I've never seen mine drink from it. He shoots at the droplets sometimes, and I'm still not convinced he has ever actually drank from it, but it tell myself its useful. I may just trash it. Its just one of the ways we offer water. As long as you are misting, it should be enough, but stick with it. He may just be a shy drinker.

He for sure is a shy drinker. When I mist him he opens his mouth 3-4 times but I feel like it's barely any water getting in his mouth. But then again their bodies are much much much smaller than ours so maybe that's a lot of water for them? Also I have been curious about this... when he is being misted he does the whole throat gulping action, but mouth is closed. What are they doing when they do that?

Just check his urates when he poops. White means you are meeting his hydration needs.
