I have snakes too which eat pinkies at the moment and it is not suggested to even give snakes live mice as they can attack back..there is pics on google snakes (dead) with massive wounds from rodent attacks..WOULD NOT advise doing this at all!! you could end up with a seriously injured cham or even a dead cham!!
I wasn't really considering mice as a food choice but I found it interesting that they must hunt live rodents in the wild and I always thought that chameleons were strictly herbi-insectivores.

I'm not going to even watch that! I could never keep anything as a pet that would eat anything else that I would also keep as a pet! the rule in my house is (for the cats at least!) - 'you don't eat family'!! I could never have a snake as I would never be able to feed it mice or rats.
Lets not forget that in the wild snakes are given frozen then thawed mice as food.
