Untraining a cham

@chamtrainer: I don't know how old your cham is but after a diet during 2-3 weeks he will probably try to eat your finger ;)
@dreamforthedead: You humanize your chameleons. It's still an animal which is led by his instincts. A "friendly" chameleon just don't see humans as predators - it ignores humans, but it's never "friendly" or "nice" or whatever

I find that if you house a cham outside it will become more wild and wary of humans and forget its indoor ways.

He does, just when i am not arround. Like i said before, he has no problems what so ever. He will eat, just not in front of others.

One thing that will get most chams going on a hunt are flying insects. Try some cultured houseflies or night flying moths in the cage.

If you want him to flare his colors and act more territorial you could show him his reflection in a mirror. But, leaving a reflection where he can see it all the time will be too much stress. Stresss kills.

He loves you, he wouldn't be friendly with you if he didn't. He would be stressed if he was aggressive and if you love him you wouldn't want that so let him be his happy lovely self.

Umm, beg to differ. I doubt any cham would "love" a human. But, what they do show is trust in a familiar large odd looking mammal that has convinced them they won't be eaten.

a mirror

i would put a mirrow right next to his door so he thinks its a preditor invading his space when opened and he will hiss and spit and lounge at you, jiust like my KnoKnut did when i first got him as a rescue from the previous owner had him in a plexi glass / screen cage and he was so darn mean it was scary at first, but i calmed him down real fast by putting shef liner over the plexi glass door, and he soon forgot that and is now my lil shadow, wants to b held all the time, my lil luv bug, compaired to the vampire he was, enjoy

Chameleons love you because you feed them. I love my boyfriend because he buys me stuff. Isn't that how love works? :D

Lol I'm just joking :p
