Unusual Behavior?

Every now and then my veiled likes to hang out and then go to sleep on the ground. He is just crouched there, not on his side or anything. I briefly moved him before and did the same (a 2 hour car ride), I ended up taking him to a vet to make sure he was ok after this, and he was determined to be healthy. Today I think i scared him by rearranging my room and tonight he is sleeping on the ground again. Otherwise he is healthy, has a nice habitat, eats and drinks well, and regulated temps. This behavior is driving me crazy, I haven't been able to find any info about a male veiled sleeping on the ground unless they are very sick and exhibiting symptoms ( which Zorak is not). Any ideas or suggestions, is this ok?

Try providing different perches to sleep on. The ground might be where he feels safest compared to the rest of the available roosts.

One of these should provide him a place he can be completely hidden if he chooses.
