Well after posting for help with her appetite and lethargic behaviour , we tried everything suggested and made recommended changes with gut load, she seemed to deteriorate even further and i posted a pic of what i thought were eggs under her skin and her poorly poo we two afternoons in a row put her in a deep laying bin and left her for a coulpe of hours and she just lay there.

well today was d-day and we took her to the vets a 45 min drive away and he looked at her poop and said he felt the lumps i'd felt she had an x-ray and it turns out she is full of eggs all fully formed but it's taken so much out of her that now she's not been eating she's just starting to deplete in her bones in her feet , the vet suggested that after asking on our efforts of laying bin etc and him being satisfied that we had done everthing we could to encourage laying that she be kept in overnight for an operation to remove the eggs and spay her tomorow . I hope she takes it ok and we get her back to health :(

hope everything goes ok for you:)
which vet did you take her to? as my cham had that op the other week and i took her to buckley house vets in hucknall they are very good there

Good luck on that! I am going through the same thing with my veiled chameleon. It's been too long and she still hasn't layed her eggs yet. She is eating normally and everything so I just don't understand. We found out on may 11th that she is pregnant. I wish I knew how long they can go before they are egg bound. Going to have to take her back to the vet..she seems so healthy..so upsetting :( I wish you luck and for your baby..poor thing

Chine house vets in Leicester Sileby , its a very big vets and the chap Craig Hunt was very knoweledgable , price wise seems ok , £65 for the consultation and x-ray and overnight stay and £150 for the operation.

I hope it all goes ok she's on my mind from the moment i wake up this morning! i love her :)

How bout an update?

Gosh yes , we never heard a thing from the vets she stayed overnight on Wed and had her operation on Thursday day we never got a call to say all had gone well and i was screwing badly and phoned at 7 at night . Still we never got any news cos the nurse was in an emergency . Friday morning around 10 am we called again and the vet Craig said he'd tried to call 5 times on the Thursday but couldn't get through. She's made it through the operation :D and we collected her i cant even believe how small she looks now that the eggs have been removed her ovaries too , she has a neat little scar on her underside and this morning she has been drinking well and has eaten one locust! . So i guess were on a long road to recovery especially with her poor eating we've got some wax worms as a treat to try her with. We need to call the vet in a week with an update , but boy am i glad we acted when we did a total of £268 for the treatment but worth EVERY PENNY :D

I am so happy things went well for Amber, the worst is over! Now you just get to watch her become her old self. Great job.
