Update on Bart!

For all of you who have been helping me with Bart! Which I still need to check the thread(sorry if you commented and I haven't gotten to you) I just left the Vet's office without Bart :/ he's going to x-ray him to look at bone density or something like that and he feels that his "sprained" leg might have been broken and is still broken or dislocated. The previous eye infection could have been atributed to that. I will post what the diagnosis is when I know! I just hope he doesn't have MBD :(

That doesn't sound good at all, I will say a little prayer for Bart right now that he will not have MBD or anything else bad.....thoughts and prayers.

Thanks for your Prayers! No MBD here. (Yaaayyy) The Vet said that what happened when he originally hurt that foot was that some how he fractured it. But instead of calcium building up calcium in that spot Bart's body broke it down. I saw the X-Ray and the bones were not as dense as they should be in the lower half of his leg. HOWEVER, every other bone was "as strong as it should be" and no other fractures were visible(there shouldn't have been but as much balance issues there very well could have been) They rechecked his eye and said the infection most like came from a suppressed immune system do to the fractured ankle/leg region. It's not the best diagnosis but at least they have found the source of the issues and he now will get Calcium shots until his injury is healed properly. I'm just glad he is getting the correct treatments and should be completely healthy soon:D

Excellent!

I always love to hear good news when a caring cham owner takes their cham to a good vet. :)

I didn't see this post until now but I did respond to your other thread with some info that I hope you will find useful.
