Urate

My cham's urate is half white/half orange. I know this is a sign of dehydration. I am looking to buy a HabbaMist (all I can afford for now). What do you guys think it means if his urate is like that? Also, what do you think about the HabbaMist? I know there is a product that is sold to put in the water to make the water less "harmful" where can I get that and the name? I have a million questions I've only had my guy for less than a month. Thanks!!

It can also indicate over supplementation, but more likely it is indeed a lack of hydration. I suggest using a dripper, in addition to whatever misting method you currently use. id guess my chameleons get 95% of their water from drippers and the other 5% is more from feeders more than misting!

the small habba mister is ok for one enclosure ive seen it work its an ok little mister. of course opihiman is going to discourage you from buying it read the bottom of his posts no offense opi

I think I'm just gonna go ahead and buy a misting system. Is the promist 50 sufficient enough? Does anyone add anything to the water to make it more healthy?

If you have very hard water or if your water has been heavily chemically treated, yes you should treat the water to remove those chemicals and some of the minerals (not because minerals are bad for the cham but because they will clog spray ends). or use distilled water.
Where I live, I add/remove nothing from the city water as it is of good quality.

my cham actually did have the rare cause for yellow/orange urates, my cham actually was oversupplemented, so dont just toss that possibility aside
