URGENT: Pump ran dry!

My Aquazamp pump ran dry for a few hours. On Aquazamps website, it says,

"The pump can run dry with no damage"

But when I turn it on, it just shakes and makes a noise like its running, but doesnt spray water...does this mean it is still priming and I have to wait a while for it to have finished so it can spray? If so, how long do I wait? Let me know, thanks.

You may need to physically reprime the pump. This happens if I let my mistking run empty. Disconnect the spray nozzles and run the pump. Without any flow restrictions, water should flow freely through the tubing. You can then turn it off, reconnect the nozzles, test again, and everything should work fine.

Try that before you panic :D

You can either run the pump until it pushes the air through. This can take a little while. Or you can disconnect the output line (from the pump to the misting nozzle) to let the air out and release the pressure. Then just reconnect it and run it. Ours runs dry from time to time and we do the second option.

I have a couple aquazamp pumps and they usually prime themselves after a few minutes, but how long I am sure depends on the configuration. If it is taking a long time you can manually prime it as others described.

Nope! Pretty hard to break it. As I said, I've let mine run dry more often than I'd like to admit, but just let the air out and it's going strong.
