URGENT!!!! Stuck or laying?

My female has laid 2x before. Last night she dug a little, and came back up. Tonight she was digging more. I just came to check about 2-3 hours later and she looks like she’s falling asleep, in there. Her head is poking out but her whole body is under the sand. Is she laying or stuck? I don’t want to try to remove her if she is laying and disturb her, but I’m also nervous about her being stuck. I have another thread I can try to add to this or tag people in.

She's likely laying. If her head is out and he sand isn't compacted tight around her I'd leave her for now.

Can I try to take a picture? It looks like it’s all around her, that’s why I’m a little nervous. I can hear her moving, but again not sure if it’s her laying or her trying to get out. Nervous mom here lol

Okay her eyes were moving like normal, I can’t see much of her breathing bc her body is under the sand unfortunately. It’s 9pm here, do I leave the lights on all night? I’m afraid of her falling asleep in there

I always have left the lights on their normal schedule. They often sleep overnight in the hole while laying the eggs.

Okay so I should turn the lights off now then. Do you think she’ll be ok overnight?

If this is the normal time the lights go off you can turn them off. If you want to leave them on a while more so you can see how she's doing, that ok too. One night won't hurt.

Maybe I’ll turn her lights off and leave a small light in the room on. That way it’s not too bright for her. Ok so I’ll let her sleep in there, and hope she just is finishing laying. In the morning I will update. Nervous, but you guys are the experts, I trust your instincts

Good morning- as usual you were right! She’s back to digging bright and early

There is a youtube video of the same thing. However the voice over is "my butt is stuck" and its just 5min of a girl digging backwards, with a guys voice explaining how his butt is stuck and he cant get out.

We look thinner + sandy! The spot she was in is now piled high with sand. Hopefully another successful lay! Will count the eggs Friday!!
