Uri

Usually, when they have their mouth open, they are releasing heat. At least, for beardies. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think he is just releasing heat.

Is he sitting under the heat lamp? If so, he is probably too warm and he is trying to cool himself down.
describe how he is keeping his mouth ope. Is it all the time, justunder the heat lamp? etc.

What is the wattage of the heat bulb, what are the dimensions of the cage? What is the temperature of the cage where he is sitting?
Has he drank too much water recently? Any pecular noises when he opens his mouth? Does he just keep his mouth open or does he just open it up when he breathes?

Popping sounds, mouth open, and stringy mucous. Removing some of the excess mucous seems to reduce the frequency of popping. This by no means treats the URI. Look into REPTAID, i've been hearing some good comments on its ability to treat URIs. Otherwise a vet visit or a trip to Mexico is in order .
