is it okay to use a use cage. I can buy one right now that has everything. Is it okay to do that

Should be fine as long you inspect it for any damages because crickets can find a way out.

I would use 1:10 bleach and water and spray it down, let it sit for couple minutes. Rinse it and maybe spray it down again to be safe and really rinse it out and scrub it. (Never know what kind of health problems the last chameleon was in there)

Be sure to give it a very through cleaning because it's possible what ever lived in it before could have had an illness and died and that's why they are getting rid of the cage. It's also possible that the animal in it before had parasites and some parasites are highly contagious. Cociddia can linger around for 6 months. The best thing to clean with is 60 volume peroxide, the kind you buy at a beauty supply store. It kills everything even cociddia. Just rinse it well and allow to dry in the sun for at least a few hours before you use it.

It comes with light fixtures mister wood etc. if I clean cage is the mister ok to use

Please do post your set up and chameleon when finished :D
I think am gonna past on the cage. I was considering putting two cages together for Lincoln my Panther. I thought that would be cool. But not sure how to do it.

Is it a reptibreeze? Because I'm kinda familiar with it kinda..
Just cut on the edges to remove the screens and use zip ties to tie the frames together. Maybe that would work?

Opps I guess I posted a few times. Thank you he's a sweetheart. Would rather be on me then anywhere else. I am still debating about cage it's a breeze.

Hydrogen Peroxide is the only solution that kills coccidia. Common misconception is that bleach will kill the parasite.

I tried using bleach many many years ago and my chameleon Luie kept re-infecting so after doing research here on this forums I found out about the peroxide being the only thing to use for cociddia and have been using it ever since with no re-infection problems. I'll see if I can find you the old post.

Thanks for all the advice am passing on the cage. Would rather buy new. Sick chameleons are no fun. He's so healthy don't want to take the chance

We had a serious outbreak of coccidia with our kittens (at work) and when round after round of dewormer didn't work, we heard from a local veterinary to use the peroxide. Problem solved!
