Using cork board in vivariums ?

I am always looking for new things to decorate and add climbing space to my vivarium. I recently saw a video with some dark, very coarse cork sheet used to trim a 3" border around the perimeter of the screen sides. I also looks like a good way to mount meters, plants and feeding trays. It gives a great natural appearance as well.
I have also had to close off two sides of my screens to get the humidity up and protect my house walls. So blocking the screen area is not an issue.
My question to this forum is: Has anyone had experience with sheet cork or have any knowledge about any possible toxic problems due to its makeup or holding moisture?
Looking forward to comments, Greg

Go for it-they work great and don't break down. I have all of my terrariums covered with them on the inside. As far as fastening to the screen I cannot say...I don't use screened enclosures. It may be more of a pain. I silicone them to the inside of the glass or acrylic.

I get the dark ones that come in a 4 pack at craft stores.

Here is a pic.

They are heated together rather than glued I believe, and people use them all the time for frogs too.

Thanks for the info Kevin

Thanks Kevin, Your vivarium looks awesome. I will use hot glue or silicone to attach strips to the corners framing it in, leaving most of the screen open for viewing.

Cork panels sure look amazing. I wish it wasn't so expensive! It'll probably be my next project after I do some saving.
